Supervisor – Horticulture Duties & Responsibilities

    • Team SupervisionSupervise gardeners and horticulture staff at assigned sites.
    • Allocate daily work and monitor attendance, grooming, and discipline.
    • Train the team on plant-care procedures, safety, and site protocols.
    • Coordinate backup manpower during leave or absenteeism.
    • Plant MaintenanceEnsure regular watering, pruning, cleaning, soil conditioning, and plant grooming.
    • Monitor plant health and identify dull, dry, diseased, or pest-affected plants.
    • Coordinate plant replacements as per the approved process.
    • Ensure proper placement and alignment of plants and planters.
    • Pest & Disease ManagementIdentify pest and disease issues at an early stage.
    • Coordinate approved medication/treatment as per the maintenance schedule.
    • Ensure correct application of organic/bio-green products and Neem oil wherever required.
    • Maintain records of medication and treatment carried out.
    • Site Inspection & Quality ControlConduct regular site inspections and ensure maintenance standards are met.
    • Check plant survival, appearance, cleanliness, moisture, and overall landscape condition.
    • Verify that the team follows the approved maintenance checklist.
    • Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Client CoordinationCoordinate with the client/FM team regarding daily horticulture requirements.
    • Attend client complaints and ensure timely resolution.
    • Communicate plant replacement, maintenance, and site-related updates.
    • Escalate major technical or operational issues to the management.
    • Inventory & MaterialsMonitor availability of plants, cocopeat, Leca balls, fertilizers, medicines, tools, and other consumables.
    • Raise material requirements in advance to avoid service interruptions.
    • Ensure proper usage and storage of horticulture materials.
    • Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily/weekly service records and checklists.
    • Track plant replacements and medication activities.
    • Prepare site inspection reports and highlight critical observations.
    • Support monthly service reports and billing documentation with accurate site information.
    • Safety & ComplianceEnsure the team follows PPE and workplace safety requirements.
    • Follow client-specific access, work-permit, and housekeeping procedures.
    • Ensure tools, chemicals, and equipment are handled and stored safely.
    • Manpower & ProductivityPlan manpower deployment according to site requirements.
    • Monitor productivity and ensure scheduled services are completed on time.
    • Minimize unnecessary manpower dependency through proper planning and supervision.
